The Chairman of the Police Service Commission, Solomon Arase, has spoken highly of the late former Inspector General of Police, Alhaji Tafa Balogun.
He described Tafa Balogun as an exceptional leader and mentor during the late IGP’s first-year remembrance anniversary.
Arase expressed that Alhaji Tafa Balogun’s strength, courage, meticulousness, and kindness had a profound impact on all those who had the privilege of knowing and working with him during his lifetime.
He fondly eulogized Alhaji Tafa Balogun, acknowledging him as a strong, dynamic, and hardworking boss who made significant investments in the lives of numerous vulnerable and underprivileged Nigerians, all in the pursuit of justice.
The PSC Chairman regarded Alhaji Balogun as one of the greatest leaders he had ever served under, and even in his absence, his legacy of benevolence and dedication continues to be recognized both within and beyond the Police Force.
Arase said, “I am grateful to have had him as a boss. He was an essential part of my career as a police officer and I remember him always with pride and honour”.
Arase emphasized that while the loss of Balogun is irreparable, he sincerely hopes that Balogun’s kind and righteous life will be richly rewarded as he finds eternal happiness among the Saints in heaven.
Furthermore, Arase encouraged the family to find solace in the belief that Alhaji Tafa Balogun now resides in a superior realm, and he offered prayers for the eternal peace and tranquility of Balogun’s soul.
