Nigerian Armed Forces Graduates Senior And Mid-Level Officers In Entrepreneurship And Management

The Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre (NAFRC), Oshodi, on Friday, 14 March 2025, held a graduation ceremony for participants of the Senior and Mid-Level Officers’ Entrepreneurship and Management Course 13/2025.

The ceremony marked the successful completion of a rigorous four-to-five-week training programme designed to equip officers with the skills necessary to establish and manage businesses while in service and after retirement.

The Commandant, Air Vice Marshal BR Mamman, in his address, described the graduation as a significant milestone in the careers of the participants.

He commended their dedication and strategic thinking, emphasising that the training had prepared them to become engines of growth, creators of wealth, and drivers of innovation in a rapidly evolving world.

AVM Mamman noted that the programme’s enhanced curriculum, including a visit to Songhai Farms in Porto Novo, Benin Republic, had broadened the participants’ knowledge in agriculture and business management.

“You have been empowered to shape the future, turn visions into realities, and contribute to national development,” He added.

The Commandant further disclosed that the Centre would collaborate with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) to facilitate business registration for participants, ensuring a seamless transition into entrepreneurship.

Also present at the ceremony was the Country Representative of EMPRETEC Nigeria Foundation, Mrs Onari Duke, who congratulated the graduating officers and encouraged them to apply the knowledge gained during the training to improve their personal and professional lives.

“This training has equipped you with the tools to become not only successful entrepreneurs but also effective leaders who can drive positive change in your respective fields,” Duke remarked.

She urged the participants to remain innovative, adaptable, and focused on empowering others as they step into new phases of their careers.

The Director of Training, Brigadier General AO Olatunji, highlighted the course’s, stressing that it had been carefully designed to meet the evolving needs of officers transitioning into business and management.

He commended the participants for adhering to the course’s code of conduct and expressed confidence that they were now better prepared to face the challenges of life after active service.

The ceremony concluded with Air Vice Marshal Mamman formally conferring the awards on the graduating participants, charging them to lead with purpose, innovate with courage, and make a lasting impact on their organisations and the nation.
