The Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) Western Naval Command, Rear Admiral MG Oamen, has declared the Exercise Crocodile Lift 2024 a success. The debriefing session, held on Monday, November 25, 2024, provided an opportunity for senior naval officers and participants to review the exercise and discuss observations for future improvement.

The session commenced with a briefing by Commodore OA Akinbami, the Officer in Tactical Command (OTC), followed by contributions from the Commanding Officer of the French Navy Ship (FNS) Dixmude and Commodore AA Zubairu, the Chief Observer of the exercise.

During an interactive segment, senior officers, including Rear Admiral A Baba-Inna, Chief Staff Officer (CSO) WEST; Rear Admiral MB Katagun, CSO NAVDOC; and Commodore I Mohammed-Katsina, Flag Captain WEST, shared their insights and observations on the operation.

In his closing remarks, Rear Admiral Oamen commended the successful execution of the exercise and assured participants that their feedback would be thoroughly reviewed to enhance future operations. He officially declared the Exercise Crocodile Lift 2024 concluded.

The exercise, which involved various naval units, aimed to enhance tactical coordination, maritime security, and joint operational efficiency. It underscores the Nigerian Navy’s commitment to safeguarding the nation’s maritime domain while fostering collaboration with international naval forces.
