In anticipation of the upcoming Yuletide season, the Acting Commissioner of Police, DCP Ayilara Waheed, has issued a directive to all Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers in Lagos State. The directive aims to ensure the continual maintenance of optimal security across the diverse areas under their purview.
This charge was articulated during a strategic meeting convened by DCP Ayilara Waheed, attended by officers and department heads serving in the Lagos State Command. The meeting facilitated a comprehensive assessment of human, material, and operational resources deployed across strategic and vulnerable points throughout the state.
Emphasis was placed on the need for deployed officers to maintain professionalism, coupled with a balance of firmness and courteousness in executing their duties. This strategic approach is intended to enhance security measures and maintain public safety.
Assuring the public of the commitment to ensuring effective security, DCP Ayilara Waheed highlighted the continuous monitoring and evaluation of these deployed strategies as essential components of the Command’s proactive stance.
In light of these security measures, the Command urges residents to remain vigilant, emphasizing the importance of promptly reporting any suspicious activities to the nearest police station. The Acting Commissioner of Police expressed confidence that through collaborative efforts between law enforcement and the community, Lagos State will remain a safe and secure environment for all its residents.
